OCBC Bank - Issuing of Perpetual securities of 4.5 percent for 550m due 2029

So fast, asking for loan liao! 

4.5% seem not bad!

Wah, another Gap down upon results released looks like market already priced in the good sets of financial numbers and it doesn't boils well for this kind of price action!



Looks like the uptrend direction is halted and we may see further selling down pressure!

 All the 3 local banks attained good profit and all boosting their dividend payout. But going forward, profit may be lowered due to interest rate pause or bad debts  allowance.

EPS 1.60 per share.

Interim dividend increase 43% from 0.28 to 0.40.

XD 14 August,  pay date 25 August. 

Yield of 6%. Is much higher than index reit.




TA wise, looks like the same price patterns may repeat itself! 



After hitting the resistance level it may likely see further weakness. 

I think is never wrong to lock in profit!

Chart wise, it is trading in a consolidation mode!

Looking at the chart we can see some buying interest with huge volume transacted on certain day which is rather interesting!

Alibaba Group - (9988.HK) She is looking good to rise up to reclaim $100 !

 Alibaba Group reported first-quarter revenue on Thursday that beat analysts' estimates as consumer sentiment bounced back from the same time a year earlier when there were strict pandemic-related lockdowns.

Alibaba posted revenue of 234.16 billion yuan ($32.29 billion) in the quarter, compared with analysts' estimates of 224.92 billion yuan.

Quarterly earnings of $2.40 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.02 by 18.81 percent. This is a 37.14 percent increase over earnings of $1.75 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $32.29 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $31.20 billion by 3.50 percent. This is a 5.22 percent increase over sales of $30.69


 Chart wise,  bullish mode!

A nice breakout of $100 smoothly may likely see her rising up to revisit 110 than 120!

Alibaba FY 2023 results:

  • Revenue was RMB208,200 million (US$30,316 million), an increase of 2% year-over-year.
  • Income from operations was RMB15,240 million (US$2,219 million), a decrease of 9% year-over-year.
  • Adjusted profit rose 5% to $2.79 a share.


Chart wise, A nice gap up price pattern spotted on the chart yesterday,  looks rather interesting!

Short term wise,  with Nasdaq turning into an bullish uptrend mode direction I think Alibaba price may likely rise up to reclaim 90 then 96 with extension to 110.



Last night US side Alibaba closed positively looks like HK side may follow.

She has just went XD today - 7 August,  Pay date 1st September likely to see further weakness!



Immediate support is at 2.70.

I think is quite a gd dividend yield to be included on my stocks portfolio.

Frasers Cpt Trust - waiting for 2.12 to come back!

Also bought a pairs of new Sunny Step shoes.

Nice and comfortable to wear.




I think good pivot point is at around 2.11 to 2.12.







The recent 3rd quarter update seems quite OK.









When I posted last week , she was trading at 2.12-2.14. If you have manged to catch it would be sitting on some profit! 


Today closed at 2.20 accompanied with high volume this is rather positive!
Likely to continue to trend higher!

Short term wise,  she may rise up to test 2.26 then 2.30 with extension to 2.35.

Occupancy rate of 99.2% is considered very good as it means that their rental spaces are fully occupied and generating rental revenue that would likely provide a stable dpu distribution rate. 



Gearing of 39.6% is slightly high but is still below 40% and a distance from the Max limitation of 50%.

NAV is about 2.32. Yearly Dividend of  about 12.2 cents.  Yield is about 5.7% which is quite good!

Likely to continue to trend lower!

Immediate support is at 2.11.

Short term wise,  if it can rise up to reclaim 2.21 then 2.25 it might be an indication  to reverse this downtrend! 

One of the rare local retail reit to be included into one stocks portfolio!

This morning tried the dumpling soups from one of the retail mall.





Taste good! Creamy soup. Plus nice ham and cheese pan cake. The dumpling is stuffed with lots of meats and ingredients. Is quite filling! I think no need noodles!



Bought some muffins and egg tarts from Butter & Cream, soft and not so sweet muffins plus egg tarts taste nice. Nom Nom. Recommended!

Mapletree PanAsia Tr - XD 7 Aug, yield is about 5.5%

 I think she has been driven into an oversold territory looks like a gd pivot point!

NAV is 1.75.

Yearly dpu is about 8.86 cents. Yield is about 5.5%.

In Singapore they own the core assets like VivoCity and Mapletree Business City (MBC). In Hong Kong they own the Famous Festival Walk shopping mall cum commercial office etc. 



Chart wise,  bearish mode!

It 1.60 cannot hold up well then next support is at 1.57.

Finance costs increase 6.1% to 54m.

Distribution income is down 2.4% to 114.7m.



Dpu of 2.18 cents versus 2.25 cents last quarter. 

Occupancy rate is 95.7%.

 Results is due on 31st July!

Yearly dividend is about 9 cents ( base on 4th quarter dpu of 2.25 cents).

Yield is about 5.6% based on current price of 1.61.

NAV is 1.759.

As at 31 March 2023, the aggregate leverage ratio was 40.9% and the average term to maturity was 3.0 years. For FY22/23, the weighted average all-in cost of debt was 2.68% per annum and the adjusted interest coverage ratio was approximately 3.5 times on a 12-month trailing basis.
